How long does it take for my meme submission to go through the queue?

We get tons of submissions every day. Please wait up to two weeks. That can fluctuate a lot depending on if the submissions were closed recently or just submissions are slow in general. 

Two weeks is the absolute maximum. If you don’t see it by then, please read here why your submission might have not been accepted. Note: This  answer is only related to meme submissions. Anything else is filed under Story Saturday.

There are only two of us at BB. We do have lives, surprisingly, and working the submissions is actually a lot more work that you would expect. Another thing is that both of us don’t cover everything in band. We won’t make any for you.

Why are submissions closed?

They’re closed at times because there’s a lot waiting in the ask box and we just can’t handle them right now. We’re sorry, but we’ll get them back up as soon as possible.

What’s Story Saturday?

Story Saturday is a time when you can share a personal story (hopefully funny!) and we’ll publish it throughout Saturday. Although, we have tons of stories so you might have to wait a few weeks. 

What happened to Story Saturday?

Well as for Story Saturday, we can’t just add them to the queue, as we want them to publish on Saturday. And we’ve tried to schedule the posts but then the queue has a heart attack and doesn’t know how to post. It’s just lack of proper coding through Tumblr. 

So, as a result, we have to add them manually throughout the day. The problem is we do have lives, in fact, very busy lives, and we can’t always do that. So we apologise, but we do try our best.

How long does my story take to get through?

It may take up to two months. I honestly don’t know. Just don’t wait for it. You’ll see it when you see it.

Why wasn’t my Story Saturday accepted?

Only reason would be if it was submitted as an ask. We simply want to limit submissions to Saturday (read below why). If it was offensive, that would get it declined. I highly doubt it would be offensive, because that has yet to happen. I can’t imagine it happening…

Also, photos are allowed on Story Saturday, but if you abuse the fact photo submissions are always open, it will get deleted.

Why can’t I submit my story?

Text submissions will only be open on Saturdays. To limit the amount of posts to deal with (because we get tons). Wait until then. Sometimes I don’t get them open until about noon CST because I like to sleep in, sorry.

Why are there text descriptions of the photo?

We can see just fine, stop posting those descriptions under the photos!

Not everyone is visually privileged. We’ve decided to do this because it creates no problem for people who don’t need it, and only creates helpfulness to those who are not privileged visually. It’s only fair. If you want to delete it after you reblog it, fine, but we’ll continue to use it.

Why does Shain help run this blog if he’s not in marching band?

Because marching band ≠ band.

Is memegenerator not working?

We don’t run the site, don’t ask us.

Why can’t I submit things besides photos?

We’re trying to limit spam. If you have a photo you want to share that’s band related, it will be filed under Story Saturday.

Why wasn’t my specific post accepted?

We get tons of submissions, we really can’t keep track of these kinds of things. Read here for a bit more helpful information.

Why are there Story Saturday posts being posted instead of memes?

It means we’re empty! We have no memes. So, submit if you want to see anything. You’ll see it pretty quick if you do (And do it right).
